Hi All
I know you've all seen this before - as I've been posting shots of it forever too. My Nomos Tangente has hit 20!
It's worth celebrating 20 years of pleasure with it.
Nomos at the time weren't as mainstream as they are now & I can remember getting it from a specialist Hifi shop that also sold German watches - I looked at the site again recently, while they've moved they still sell & repair things with valves they still focus on German watches too.
It's so old - it predates the Geneva stripes of the current models. I've always liked the restrained aesthetic - even with a power reserve indicator & date dial doesn't feel cluttered & I like the off white of the dial.
Size is just about perfect 35mm - but almost no bezel so it's never felt small & even with those additional complications it's a thin watch 6.6mm, something that feels less common now.
I've had it serviced a couple of times & it's now on its second strap & dial. The dial was pitting a bit & a replacement was suggested - did think about keeping the original, but I'm pleased I had it swapped out.
As ever with all my watches I can't see it going anywhere.
Cheers
JML
